Inspired by the very first story in Lorna Blake’s award-winning memoir, Born To Rise, Miss Lyn & The Poisoned Beans brings a remarkable tale from rural Jamaica to life through animation. At just eight years old, Lyn’s intuition and courage to speak up ultimately save her family’s lives. Decades later, her daughter brings this extraordinary childhood experience to the screen, celebrating the wisdom of children, the importance of listening to their voices, and the power of preserving family stories across generations.
